Barbara J Ivens, MS, RDN, FADA, FAND, and Stella H Cash, MS, MED, FAND, hosted a brunch in Cash’s Bath, Michigan home on Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2017, to create some grassroots awareness and raise funds for the Academy Foundation’s Second Century Initiative. Both Barbara and Stella are past Academy Foundation Chairs, and have championed the Foundation’s efforts throughout their careers.
Nearly 30 Academy members from around Michigan attended for the opportunity to network, enjoy some great food and refreshments and learn more about the Academy’s Second Century. Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics CEO, Patricia M. Babjak, GSLIS, provided an update on the Second Century Initiative and both Barbara and Stella took the opportunity to share their thoughts on what is inspiring about the Second Century and why it is so important Academy members contribute in a meaningful and significant way. They asked that everyone making a gift to the Second Century Campaign.
